Guitarist, composer Yasuhito Sasaki became a staple in New York music scene soon after he decided to dedicate much of his time to play. He got many kind of style of music and he has explored many different genres to expand his musical vocabulary.

Originally from Sapporo, Japan. Moved to New York City 2002. During his time in NYC, Yasuhito sasaki has been very active as a performer and recording artist.

He joined highly respected world music band its called MIKANIC released album,"subway tracks" in 2005.This album features two of his original compositions.

Yasuhito Sasaki toured with MIKANIC in the UK, South Africa and Japan. After finished that tours, He has performed with his trio, Ki-yo, JUJU, MIKANIC, Frank Kimbrough, Lew Tabackin and some others at many of the famous venues in NYC including: THE BITTER END, CANAL ROOM, SYMPHONY SPACE, CBGB, KNITTING FACTORY, KITANO HOTEL etc.

As a leader, Yasuhito had his trio toured in Japan 2012. Yasuhito Sasaki’s musical journey began far from NYC. He started playing guitar at the age of fourteen in his hometown of Sapporo, Japan.

His first music studies came when he attended YAMAHA music school in Sapporo. During his time at YAMAHA he studied and performed with master musicians including: Yoshito Tanaka, Sadao Watanabe, and Toshiko Akiyoshi in 1998.
